Archana Pyatt is available by special request to speak informally to
groups on the subject of tea. She has previously offered classes on
tea and has been a guest speaker at gatherings and special events.

Introduction to Tea will provide the basics and overall view of

History of Tea will take you from 2737 B.C. to today and show you
how tea is an ancient beverage that has evolved over time and
taken on various forms. Follow the path that tea traveled from
China to Europe and everything this amazing beverage has
endured. Learn about the invention of teapots, the accidental
discovery of iced tea and tea bags, the start of Afternoon Tea, and
the role of tea in our current time.
Health Benefits of Tea will give you more than a few reasons to
drink tea more often. Find out about the many health benefits of
tea relating to heart condition, cholesterol, and metabolism. Learn
about antioxidants in tea, caffeine content as compared to coffee,
and the differences between black teas, green teas and herbal teas.

Archana Pyatt was born in New Delhi, India,
and moved to New York City at the age of
eight. After college, she worked on Wall
Street for various investment banks. Archana
ended her professional career working in the
Chairman's office at Goldman Sachs. She left
New York City in 2001 to move to the Sugar
Land area with her husband, John, and her
daughter, Meena. She was then finally able to
turn her dream into a reality in 2004 when
Serenitea opened its doors in mid-November.
Her hobbies are eating, reading, and traveling
- preferably all at the same time! Her passion
is drinking tea - Earl Grey, hot!
